Creating a Fee Change Supplement Application

Fee Change Supplements are necessary when the fees applied to the application for an issued permit were incorrect in that the Permittee was billed too much or too little and/or for the wrong fees.

ONLY PENNDOT CAN CREATE A FEE CHANGE SUPPLEMENT APPLICATION. If you believe you were charged incorrectly for an issued permit application, please contact your District Permit Office.

To Apply for a Fee Change Supplement:

1.      Access the Application Information, Permit, License, or Supplement/Assignment Lists screen of the permit for which a fee change supplement is needed.

2.      Click the Create Supplements button.

Note: The Create Supplement menu button is hidden if a license has a supplement in process.

3.      Select the Fee Change option. The Create Supplement screen appears. The permit Application Number and the Permit Number display in the header.

4.      Enter a description of the error and/or a reason why a fee change supplement is necessary in the Fee Change Reason field.

5.      Click Save & Exit. The Supplement Application Information screen appears, opened to the Setup>Information tab. While much of the information on this tab is for display-only, you can edit the information you entered on the Create Supplement screen, if needed.

6.      Click Save & Next. The Setup>Fee information tab displays. Add, edit, or remove fees as necessary in the same way you could add/edit fees on the permit application. To apply a credit to the Permittee, change the unit Fee to an amount (for example -$15.00).

7.      From the Setup>Fee Information tab, click Save & Next. The Setup>Attachments tab displays. Attach any necessary documentation to the supplement application in the same way you could attach documents on the permit application.

8.      If you want to see a list of all the documents attached to this supplement, the permit application, and/or any other supplements associated with the permit, click the Setup>Attachment History tab.

9.      From the Setup>Attachment History tab, click Save & Next OR just click on the Setup>Supplement Summary tab, which displays in a read-only view, all the information entered for the supplement you are creating.

10.  From the Setup>Supplement Summary tab, click another tab or the Supplement Application link.

11.  When finished with the application, submit it to PennDOT by clicking the Submit button on the tool bar. A Submission Authorization Confirmation prompt displays.

12.  Select an option and then click on the I Agree button. The Supplement Application Information page will still be displayed, but the status of the supplement will be Submitted.’
