Entering Work Descriptions

Entering Locations

The Work Summary and Locations screen stores a summary of work to be completed.

Applicants are required to enter a work summary before submitting an application.

Receivers and Reviewers can add detailed location information. Optional Location fields are available for entry of a specific county, SR identification, segment number, and offset details. If location information is stored, standard work descriptions can be selected and applied for each location.

Reviewers can add work summaries during the review process, but cannot edit existing summaries. Editing of the standard Work Descriptions database is reserved for PennDOT personnel.  This way, a record of an applicant's entered work summary is preserved, even if it is excluded from the application.

Traffic signal locations are identified by latitude and longitude. A traffic signal Id containing location information must be created in TSAMS before a Signal Id can be added to a Traffic Signal application.  Highlighted TSAMS information is available to assist with traffic signal information entry. Please contact your district traffic unit for assistance: http://www.dot.state.pa.us/Portal%20Information/Traffic%20Signal%20Portal/CONT.html.

A work location entry is automatically created when the draft application for a Minimum Use Driveway (MUD) permit is created. The status of this work location is Included.
