Creating a Login ID with Express Registration

Registering for ePermitting

To begin the express registration process access the ePermitting Welcome/Login screen and click the 'here' link in the text at the bottom of the Login section. This action logs the user into the Express Registration part of ePermitting as user 'Anonymous'.

Note: There are two ways to cancel express registration once you have started. Click the Logout link above the user ID or click the Back button on the Create New User Account screen.

 To continue:

1.      Click the link on the introduction page for Express Login. The Create New User Account screen appears. You must complete the information fields marked with flags to create your account. Click each field to enter information or press TAB to move from field to field.

2.       Type your first and last name in the fields. The name entered here is the 'owner' of the Business Partner ID. Do not enter the name of another person.

3.       Type your full mailing address in the first field. Use the optional second address line, if needed.

4.       Type your city in the field. Click the drop-down to locate and select your state. Type your five- or nine-digit Zip code in the field.

5.       Type a valid e-mail address in the field. This address will be used for e-mails regarding your application's status and final response.

6.       Type your area code and phone number in the three separated fields.

7.       Your user ID is a unique identifier that enables you to access ePermitting. Type a user ID with up to 15 letters or numerals. Do not use spaces, punctuation, or special characters. If the user ID you enter already exists, you will be prompted to create a different ID.

8.       Type and retype your password in the fields. Passwords must contain at least one numeral and one letter. They must be six characters long or more.’

9.       For your security, an encrypted string of letters and numerals is displayed to verify your entry. Type the characters as they appear in the encryption window below the field. If the letters are too blurred to recognize, click Reload Image to view a different set of letters.

10.   After you have completed the required fields, click the Create Account button in the upper tool bar. The system will prompt you if information is missing or the fields are entered incorrectly.

11.  ePermitting confirms that you have created a new account successfully. Two e-mails are sent to the e-mail address you supplied. The first confirms your user ID. The second confirms your password. To begin using ePermitting immediately, click the link. The Applicant Login Screen appears.
